My thoughts on Grindeldore, let me show you them
Or rather, my thoughts on Avatar episode 306: The Avatar and the Firelord.

My first thought when seeing young Avatar Roku and young Prince Sozin? 'This is so Grindeldore!'

I've never been into Avatar slash. No two same-sex characters really had it, the kind of relationship that makes me go 'Ooh'. But Roku and Sozin had it. And Sozin was ambitious, and wanted to take over the world for the greater good, and Roku opposed him because of his view of the greater good. And Roku ended up as an old greybeard who still cared for his childhood friend. They're not an exact match to Dumbledore and Grindelwald, of course, but there's a lot of parallels, and I'm kind of surprised there isn't fanfic already.
